In this message based on Malachi 3:6, Pastor Ratna Maitra reflects on the unchangeable nature of God. Human beings frequently change their minds, opinions, and emotions based on external circumstances and lack steadfastness. In contrast, God remains eternally consistent in His nature, love, and promises. He is not like an artwork or idol that humans can reshape or modify according to their preferences. Because God does not change, believers are not consumed by His wrath despite their weaknesses and secret sins. Instead, His long-suffering grace continuously forgives, corrects, and calls His children back to spiritual integrity. Believers are encouraged to examine their hearts, turn away from hidden faults, and align themselves with God's unchanging Word.

Key Truths

  • God is immutable and constant, unlike human nature which easily changes.
  • Believers are preserved and not consumed because of God's unchanging love and mercy.
  • God's Word and divine purpose stand firm and cannot be altered by human opinions.
  • God's long-suffering discipline is intended to bring believers back to repentance and spiritual safety.

Apply It Today

Reflect on areas in your life where you have drifted away or made compromises. Instead of blaming circumstances or questioning God, examine your own heart, confess secret sins, and align your daily decisions with God's unchanging Word.

Reflect

How does knowing that God never changes give you security when facing difficult or changing circumstances?

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for Your unchanging love and faithful mercy. Forgive us for our hidden sins and faltering ways. Cleanse our hearts by Your precious blood, strengthen our faith, and help us walk steadily in Your truth every day. Amen.
