Message Overview
The Friday Service at Praise God Ministry, Kuwait, featured vibrant praise and worship, personal testimonies of God's faithful provision, and an inspiring sermon delivered by Guest Speaker Ps. Eedha Sravan Kumar (translated into Telugu by Dr. John Wesley).
### Worship and Testimonies
The service began with congregational worship and responsive scripture reading from Psalm 46:1-11, reminding the assembly that God is our refuge and strength in times of trouble. Members shared testimonies of answered prayers, including completed home constructions and divine favor in family matters, reinforcing God’s continuous faithfulness.
### Message: Rebuilding Broken Walls
Ps. Eedha Sravan Kumar centered his sermon on the Book of Nehemiah, highlighting how Nehemiah accomplished the monumental task of rebuilding Jerusalem’s ruined walls in just 52 days—a task that had remained unfulfilled for over 150 years.
He outlined **Four Biblical Principles** drawn from Nehemiah's experience:
1. **Principle of Prayer (Nehemiah 1 & 2):** When Nehemiah heard about the devastation of Jerusalem, his initial response was sorrow, but he immediately turned to God in prayer and fasting. Nehemiah prayed nine times throughout the 13 chapters of the book. Before seeking help from people or kings, our primary resort must always be prayer.
2. **Principle of Preparation (Nehemiah 2:1-6):** Between December (when Nehemiah heard the news) and April (when he spoke to King Artaxerxes), four months passed. Nehemiah used this time to prepare, plan, and calculate the requirements. When the king asked what he needed, Nehemiah was ready with specific answers. Good prayer must be coupled with wise preparation.
3. **Principle of Timing:** Nehemiah recognized the right moment to present his petition—when the king was in a favorable mood. Discerning God's timing and acting with wisdom is crucial when presenting needs to authorities or supporters.
4. **Principle of Facing Opposition (Nehemiah 2:19, 4:2, 5:6):** Any good work for God will encounter resistance. Nehemiah faced external opposition from Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem, who mocked and threatened the work, as well as internal friction among the people. Nehemiah responded not by giving up or making rash statements in anger, but by controlling his emotions, seeking God, and persevering.
### Conclusion and Application
The speaker exhorted believers not to make promises when overly happy nor to speak in haste when angry. By controlling emotions and relying on God's strength, believers can rebuild every broken area of their lives. The service concluded with congregational prayer and a final blessing.
