In this sermon, Pastor Ratna Maitra preaches on 1 John 5:10, emphasizing that whoever believes in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, holds the internal testimony and witness given by God Himself. Rejecting this testimony makes God out to be a liar, because God has explicitly declared Jesus to be His beloved Son through the Scriptures, the Holy Spirit, and the witnesses of Christ's life. Pastor Ratna explains the oneness of the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and highlights how faith in Jesus releases believers from religious burdens and gives them victory over the world, bringing eternal life.

Key Truths

  • Believers in the Son of God carry the inner witness and testimony of God in their hearts.
  • Disbelieving God's testimony concerning His Son treats God as a liar.
  • The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit work in unity to grant salvation and testify to believers.
  • Faith in Jesus Christ grants victory over the world and bestows eternal life.

Apply It Today

Anchoring your faith daily in the truth of God's Word rather than human traditions or doubts allows the Holy Spirit to affirm your identity as a child of God and grants peace and victory.

Reflect

Do you hold the internal witness of faith in Jesus Christ, and how does that belief shape your daily confidence in God's promises?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving Your Son, Jesus Christ, and for testifying to His truth in our hearts. Strengthen our faith, clear all doubts, and help us live in the victory and eternal life You have graciously provided. In Jesus' divine name, Amen.
