Reflecting on Jeremiah’s four decades of weeping, warning, and intercession before Judah’s captivity, she reminds believers of God’s sovereignty in setting apart His servants even from the womb. While Jeremiah brought solemn announcements of coming judgment and promises of restoration, God touched his lips with powerful, living words. Today, believers in Christ are cleansed by His blood, filled with the Holy Spirit, and commissioned as God’s representatives to walk out of comfort zones and shine the divine light into the darkness.

Key Truths

  • Jeremiah faithfully endured forty years of difficult ministry warning Judah of captivity and preaching repentance.
  • Believers are commanded to arise, shed fear, and speak all that God instructs without compromise.
  • Examining oneself in the mirror of Scripture helps correct wrongdoing and bear righteous fruit.

Apply It Today

Step out of personal comfort zones today, evaluate your life through Scripture, and share God’s truthful Word boldly without yielding to fear.

Prayer

Lord God, touch our lips and fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Give us courage to arise, obey Your commands, and proclaim Your Word faithfully. Amen.
