Message Overview

This Friday Service of Praise God Ministry begins with heartfelt praise and worship led by the music team and opening prayers, setting a joyful atmosphere. A significant part of the gathering is dedicated to celebrating the baby dedication of Raphael Maitra, grandson of founders Ps. Pinak Maitra and Ps. Ratna Maitra. Special guests, including Ps. Emmanuel Benjamin Gharib (Chairman of the National Evangelical Church of Kuwait), Ps. Gerald Golbeck (Senior Pastor of The Light House Church), and Bro. Following the special dedication ceremony, a special dance and worship performance by the PGM Women's team, Ps. Ratna Maitra steps forward to share the Word of God, continuing a study on Joshua Chapter 5. She ties the themes of dedication and generational legacy to the biblical narrative of Israel entering Canaan under Joshua's leadership. Ps. Ratna highlights how Joshua, whose name in Hebrew (Yeshua) signifies salvation, led the new generation of Israelites across the Jordan River into Gilgal.

She contrasts the first generation of Israelites who perished in the wilderness due to disobedience with the new generation standing at Gilgal. Placed between the river and the fortified city of Jericho, Israel was commanded by God to be circumcised. Ps. Ratna explains that while Old Testament circumcision was physical, in the New Testament context (referencing Deuteronomy 30 and John 16), it represents the Holy Spirit circumcising and purifying human hearts. God required total surrender and consecration before giving them victory.

Ps. Ratna focuses on Joshua 5:9, where the Lord declared, 'This day I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.' She encourages the congregation that no matter the past shame, bondage, or reproach carried from earlier seasons, God completely rolls it away at Gilgal. Furthermore, she highlights the stopping of the manna as Israel ate the produce of Canaan, showing that God transitions His believers into higher realms of spiritual maturity and provision.

Concluding her message, Ps. Ratna notes Joshua's encounter with the Commander of the Lord’s Army (Joshua 5:13–15). When Joshua asked whose side the Commander was on, the answer was neither, but rather that He came as Supreme Leader. She reminds believers and ministry leaders that God does not take sides in human agendas; rather, believers must align themselves with God's will and authority. The service concludes with an altar call for salvation and a final closing blessing led by Ps. Pinak and Ps. Ratna Maitra.
