Pastor Ratna Maitra expounds on John 3:8, comparing the Holy Spirit to the wind, which cannot be seen with human eyes but whose powerful effects are felt and heard. Reflecting on creation in Genesis and Christ becoming a life-giving spirit, she explains that spiritual rebirth restores humanity from spiritual death into communion with God. Although God is Spirit and unseen, His presence actively works within believers, aligning their thoughts, character, and actions with His perfect holiness. Believers are called to walk blamelessly before the Almighty God in complete obedience and faith.

Key Truths

  • Like the wind, the Holy Spirit is unseen to physical eyes but clearly known by His active movement and power.
  • God breathed life into mankind at creation, and through Jesus Christ, believers are quickened by a life-giving Spirit.
  • The Spirit of God cleanses believers, aligns their character to His perfection, and removes old sinful traits.
  • God calls His children, as He did Abraham, to walk blamelessly before Him as the Almighty God.
